Carry a valid motorcycle licence and the documents required for your nationality. Comprehensive travel medical and emergency evacuation insurance should cover motorcycle riding and the altitudes in your itinerary.
Packing rhythm
Pack technical layers, waterproof protection, riding armour, gloves and boots. Keep daily essentials on the bike and let the support vehicle carry the larger bag on supported tours.
Altitude & pacing
High passes can exceed 4,000 metres. Conservative pacing, hydration, acclimatisation and flexible route decisions matter more than chasing daily kilometre targets.
